Advertising disclosure

Paid placements are labeled, separated, and never confused with reporting.

The wall

HackedWire’s newsroom and its advertising operations are separate. Sponsors do not see stories before publication, cannot suppress coverage, and cannot purchase favorable reporting. Pay-for-positive-coverage arrangements are prohibited.

Labeling

  • Every paid placement carries a visible “Sponsored” label and is visually separated from editorial content.
  • Sponsored articles, where offered, are labeled as sponsored content at the top of the page and excluded from news listings presented as editorial.
  • Newsletter sponsorships appear in a labeled sponsorship block, distinct from the Brief’s editorial content.

Affiliate links

Where HackedWire uses affiliate links — links that earn the publication a commission — they are disclosed at the point of use. Affiliate relationships never influence whether a product is covered or how it is assessed.
